Podiatric Medical School is similar to general medical school and in point of fact several podiatry programs are contained within these academic institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the conclusion of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have received substantial medical training with a concentration on concerns regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are trained to deal with concerns extending from familiar ailments for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have significant surgical instruction which give them the experience needed to conduct surgical treatment on those issues that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs endure as we walk, run or perform other activities.
