Dr.’s at The Foot Institute – Calgary Sunpark concentrate on the surgical and medical therapy of the ankle and foot. Foot Institute Podiatrists devote an average of ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and several podiatry training programs are located within these schools. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received significant health care education with a concentration on complications regarding the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are instructed to care for problems ranging from familiar afflictions for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more obscure for example clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
