Doctors at The Foot Institute – Calgary Sunpark specialize in the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. Foot Institute Podiatrists spend approximately a decade in education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact various podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have obtained significant health care education with an attention to on complications pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to care for complications varying from familiar disorders for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more challenging including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
