Dr. Joshua Leavitt, DPM

Dr. Joshua Leavitt, DPM is originally from Southern Alberta. He attended the University of Alberta where he completed his Bachelor's degree as well as his pre-med requirements. He then attended the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated with his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree. He qualified for membership in the Pi Delta National Podiatry Honor Society due to outstanding scholastic achievement. He completed a 3 year surgical residency at Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia where he performed hundreds of surgical procedures of the foot and ankle. During his 3 years of training he also completed rotations in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Disease, Trauma, Vascular Surgery, Radiology, Anesthesiology, Rheumatology and Orthopedics.

As a Podiatric physician he believes in exhausting conservative treatments prior to considering surgical intervention. He is an avid reader of the Medical and Podiatric journals which allows him to keep up to date with the latest treatment options.

He is happy to bring his family back to the Edmonton area. In his free time he enjoys most all sporting activities and spending time with his wife and 3 young children.
