They spend approximately 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to get a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles general medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry training programs are located within these institutions. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 to 3 years.
At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have gained thorough healthcare instruction with a stress on difficulties involving the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to treat conditions extending from usual ailments for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more perplexing including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
