Foot Institute Doctors put in approximately 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry programs lie within these institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received comprehensive healthcare education with a concentration on problems concerning the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are instructed to address complications varying from familiar ailments like fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are a lot more challenging including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have extensive surgical instruction which provide them the practical experience essential to perform surgery on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.
