Foot Institute Doctors put in an average of 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in fact various podiatry programs lie inside these schools. Upon acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have received significant health care training with an emphasis on concerns pertaining to the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are skilled to handle conditions varying from familiar problems for instance ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more intricate like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have substantial surgical instruction which give them the prior experience necessary to carry out surgical treatment on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors also have a thorough expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Realizing biomechanics and gait deviations enables a Podiatrist to create footwear and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and prevent many conditions which the feet usually encounter.
