They devote an average of 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and in fact several podiatry programs are located within these institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have gained thorough medical training with an importance on issues pertaining to the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are educated to treat difficulties extending from simple problems for instance, fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are far more obscure for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
