Lloydminster Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Doctors at The Foot Institute – Lloydminster provide services for the medical and surgical treatment of the foot and ankle. Our doctors invest approximately 10 years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to regular medical school and a number of podiatry programs are located inside these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have gained considerable medical education with an emphasis on problems pertaining to the feet and ankles. They are skilled to care for complications ranging from familiar problems such as fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are a lot more intricate including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have considerable surgical instruction which furnish them the experience essential to execute surgical treatment on those issues that are ideally managed through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet go through as we walk, run or perform other activities. Learning about biomechanics and gait abnormalities facilitates a Podiatrist to create shoes and orthotics that can provide pain relief and help prevent countless troubles which the feet normally encounter.
