Specialists at The Foot Institute – Calgary North focus on the surgical and medical treatment of the foot and ankle. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and in point of fact a number of podiatry training programs are located inside these schools. After securing a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have acquired significant healthcare training with an importance on concerns involving the ankles and feet. They are taught to treat problems stretching from familiar ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more sophisticated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
