Doctors here at The Foot Institute – Red Deer specialize in the medical and surgical therapy of the ankle and foot. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to usual medical school and in point of fact several podiatry programmes lie within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the conclusion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have obtained extensive medical training with a concentration on conditions regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are taught to treat problems ranging from simple ailments for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are much more complicated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
