Our podiatrists put in approximately ten years in education, the first four years in undergraduate studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and in point of fact a number of podiatry programs are located inside these institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained encompassing health care training with an attention to on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are taught to address complications varying from familiar conditions for instance ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more sophisticated for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have significant surgical education which give them the experience required to perform surgical treatment on those issues that are best remedied through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs receive as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Learning about biomechanics and gait deviations permits a Podiatric physician to develop shoes and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and minimize the risk of many problems which the feet typically encounter.
