Foot Institute Podiatrists invest an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the second 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to standard medical school and numerous podiatry programmes are located within these academic institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

At the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have obtained extensive medical education with a focus on problems involving the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are studied to care for conditions stretching from normal conditions for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have comprehensive surgical training which furnish them the skill vital to execute surgery on those issues that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet experience as we walk, run or perform other tasks.
