Our doctors invest an average of 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles traditional medical school and in fact many podiatry programs lie within these institutions. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 - 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have obtained wide-ranging healthcare instruction with a main focus on conditions pertaining to the ankles and feet. They are taught to care for difficulties ranging from normal disorders for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are far more sophisticated like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical instruction which furnish them the experience needed to execute surgery on those concerns that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks. Understanding biomechanics and gait peculiarities makes it possible for a Podiatrist to develop footwear and orthotics which can give pain relief and protect against many issues which the feet generally encounter.
