Our podiatrists invest approximately 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd four years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in point of fact many podiatry programs lie within these academic institutions. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have acquired considerable medical training with a stress on issues concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to deal with issues ranging from conventional disorders like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more complicated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
