Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional one to three years.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or carry out other tasks. Learning about biomechanics and gait abnormalities facilitates a Foot doctor to develop shoes and orthotics which can deliver pain relief and defend against countless complications which the feet generally encounter.
