Our doctors devote approximately 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to regular medical school and a number of podiatry programmes lie inside these schools. After receiving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have gained thorough medical training with an attention to on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to address problems varying from standard disorders for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more complex for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have comprehensive surgical training which give them the skill necessary to conduct surgical treatment on those conditions that are best treated through surgical treatment.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait peculiarities empowers a Podiatric doctor to design footwear and orthotics which can give pain relief and defend against a large number of conditions which the feet commonly encounter.
