They spend an average of 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to have a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and a number of podiatry programmes are located inside these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have acquired wide-ranging medical instruction with an attention to on conditions regarding the feet and ankles. Foot Institute Doctors are qualified to address problems stretching from usual problems like fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more complex like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our physicians have comprehensive surgical instruction which give them the experience essential to perform surgery on those problems that are ideally handled through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other tasks.
