They devote approximately 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles usual medical school and various podiatry programs are contained within these academic institutions. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have gained considerable medical training with an importance on conditions concerning the feet and ankles. They are studied to treat issues ranging from commonplace problems for instance ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are far more obscure for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have significant surgical instruction which provide them the experience necessary to carry out surgical treatment on those concerns that are best managed through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have a comprehensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Recognizing biomechanics and gait abnormalities allows a Podiatric doctor to develop footwear and orthotics which can provide pain relief and reduce the chances of many issues which the feet typically encounter.
