Foot Institute Doctors put in about 10 years in learning, the first four years in undergrad studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to conventional medical school and in fact many podiatry training programs lie within these schools. After procuring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have obtained considerable healthcare instruction with an importance on concerns pertaining to the feet and ankles. They are instructed to handle complications varying from commonplace disorders for example, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are more sophisticated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have considerable surgical training which provide them the skill necessary to perform surgery on those complications that are ideally handled through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors also have an extensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs withstand as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait problems permits a Foot doctor to design shoes and orthotics that can offer pain relief and defend against countless issues which the feet commonly experience.
