Red Deer Podiatrist & Foot Clinic

Physicians here at The Foot Institute – Red Deer provide services for the medical and surgical therapy of the ankle and foot. Our podiatrists invest around a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to attain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles standard medical school and in point of fact several podiatry programs are located within these institutions. Upon getting a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received significant health care education with a stress on difficulties regarding the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are trained to deal with problems extending from simple ailments like ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are even more perplexing including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have extensive surgical instruction which give them the practical experience vital to perform surgical treatment on those problems that are best remedied through surgical treatment.

Doctors at the Foot Institute also have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other tasks.
