They spend around a decade in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School corresponds to typical medical school and in point of fact several podiatry training programs are located within these academic institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Doctors have received extensive healthcare education with a concentration on complications concerning the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are trained to address complications varying from basic ailments for instance, fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are far more intricate for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities.
