Foot Institute Podiatrists invest about 10 years in learning, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to receive a Bachelors Degree, and the following four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to standard medical school and as a matter of fact several podiatry programs are located within these academic institutions. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute perform a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

At the fulfillment of the internship or post degree residency, our Doctors have obtained thorough healthcare instruction with an attention to on concerns involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are instructed to deal with problems ranging from standard afflictions for example, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are even more challenging including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have substantial surgical instruction which provide them the experience required to carry out surgery on those problems that are best managed through surgical intervention.

Our Doctors furthermore have an extensive expertise and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or carry out other tasks. Recognizing biomechanics and gait deviations facilitates a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics which can provide pain relief and protect against a large number of complications which the feet typically experience.
