Our doctors spend an average of 10 years in education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the next 4 years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and actually many podiatry training programs lie within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or residency for another one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received substantial medical training with a stress on difficulties involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are studied to treat difficulties ranging from simple afflictions such as fungal and ingrown toenails, to those which are more perplexing for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have extensive surgical instruction which supply them the prior experience necessary to execute surgery on those problems that are ideally managed through surgical treatment.

Our Doctors likewise have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or perform other activities. Knowing biomechanics and gait irregularities allows a Foot doctor to design shoes and orthotics that can provide pain relief and avoid many complications which the feet generally experience.
