Foot Institute Doctors invest an average of ten years in higher education, the first 4 years in undergraduate studies to get a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to receive a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and actually several podiatry programmes are contained within these schools. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute complete a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another one to three years.

Upon the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have received considerable healthcare education with an importance on issues concerning the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are trained to deal with complications stretching from usual disorders for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are even more challenging for instance, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have significant surgical education which supply them the prior experience required to carry out surgical treatment on those problems that are best handled through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute likewise have a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs submit to as we walk, run or perform other activities.
