Foot Institute Podiatrists invest an average of ten years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the 2nd 4 years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to conventional medical school and in reality many podiatry programmes are contained within these schools. Upon obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute undertake a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another 1 - 3 years.

At the completion of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatrists have gained thorough medical instruction with a stress on problems pertaining to the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are instructed to treat conditions varying from usual ailments such as ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more obscure for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot.
