Foot Institute Podiatrists spend an average of 10 years in higher education, the first four years in undergrad studies to obtain a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to attain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to traditional medical school and in reality several podiatry programs are located inside these institutions. After attaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute carry out a hospital "internship" or residency for an additional one to three years.

At the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatrists have received considerable medical instruction with a main focus on concerns regarding the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are skilled to care for problems stretching from conventional afflictions like ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are far more obscure like clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at The Foot Institute have significant surgical education which give them the practical experience needed to carry out surgery on those problems that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors also have a comprehensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the feet and legs receive as we walk, run or perform other activities.
