They devote an average of a decade in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to achieve a Bachelors Degree, and the next four years in Medical School to obtain a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School resembles conventional medical school and in point of fact numerous podiatry programs are located within these institutions. Upon achieving a Podiatric Medial Degree, Podiatrists at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for yet another one to three years.

Upon the finalization of the internship or post degree residency, our Podiatric doctors have received significant medical instruction with an attention to on difficulties involving the ankles and feet. Foot Institute Doctors are skilled to address problems ranging from simple conditions for instance, ingrown and fungal toe nails, to those which are more complicated including clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have thorough surgical training which give them the expertise required to execute surgical treatment on those issues that are best remedied through surgical intervention.

Doctors at the Foot Institute furthermore have a thorough practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities. Realizing biomechanics and gait problems enables a Podiatrist to design shoes and orthotics that can offer pain relief and avoid many issues which the feet usually encounter.
