They spend about ten years in learning, the first four years in undergraduate studies to acquire a Bachelors Degree, and the second four years in Medical School to secure a Podiatric Medical Degree. After acquiring a Podiatric Medial Degree, Physicians at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or post degree residency for another 1 to 3 years.
