Upon the finalization of the internship or residency, our Foot doctors have received extensive medical education with an attention to on problems involving the ankles and feet. Our Doctors are educated to handle conditions extending from general disorders for example, ingrown and fungal toenails, to those which are far more complex such as clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Doctors at the Foot Institute have comprehensive surgical education which supply them the expertise necessary to carry out surgical treatment on those conditions that are best treated through surgical intervention.
Our Doctors also have a thorough knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet receive as we walk, run or perform other activities. Having knowledge of biomechanics and gait irregularities empowers a Foot doctor to design footwear and orthotics that can deliver pain relief and avoid numerous conditions which the feet frequently experience.
