They devote approximately a decade in higher education, the first 4 years in undergrad studies to secure a Bachelors Degree, and the following 4 years in Medical School to acquire a Podiatric Medical Degree. Podiatric Medical School is similar to usual medical school and in point of fact many podiatry programmes lie within these institutions. After obtaining a Podiatric Medial Degree, Doctors at the Foot Institute finish a hospital "internship" or residency for another 1 to 3 years.

Upon the completion of the internship or residency, our Podiatric doctors have received extensive healthcare education with an emphasis on issues involving the feet and ankles. Our Doctors are trained to treat problems stretching from typical ailments for instance fungal and ingrown toe nails, to those which are much more complicated for example, clubfoot, bunions, or reconstructive surgery of the foot. Our Doctors have substantial surgical training which furnish them the experience necessary to execute surgery on those troubles that are best treated through surgical intervention.

Foot Institute Doctors furthermore have a comprehensive practical knowledge and understanding of biomechanics, which is the study of the forces which the legs and feet undergo as we walk, run or perform other activities.
